2021 Pavement Maintenance Program Asphaltic Concrete Overlay

Deadline: February 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.

Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Grain Valley at City Hall, 711 Main Street, Grain Valley, Missouri until 2:00 p.m. on February 4, 2021. At said place and time, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Lower Level Conference Room.
The Work is generally described as follows:
2021 Pavement Maintenance Program
All Bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents, including, Drawings, Specifications, and Contract Documents on file at the Community Development Department, located in City Hall, 711 Main Street, Grain Valley, Missouri.

Tow Services

Department: Police
Deadline: November 23, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.

The City of Grain Valley posts an RFP (Request For Proposal) every 3 years for towing service which encompasses police ordered tows as well as various other City vehicle tow requests.

Pedestrian Bridge over Blue Branch Creek

Department: Parks and Recreation
Deadline: October 1, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.

Bids shall be endorsed "Proposal" for constructing Pedestrian Bridge over Blue Branch Creek, Cross Creek Park, and will be received by the City of Grain Valley until 2 o'clock p.m. (Central Standard Time) on the 1st day of October, 2020. Bids will NOT be accepted after this date and time under any circumstances. Due to Co-Vid 19 Protocols there will be no in-person public opening of Bids. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud via Zoom Meeting with a date and time to be established in a forthcoming Addendum.

The proposed work includes:

Bridge Demolition, Grading, Constructing a 95’ Pratt Steel Truss Span, and a 10’-0” Trail where it crosses over Blue Branch Creek in Cross Creek Park, including all incidental work in accordance with the plans and specifications.

The wage rates applicable to this project have been predetermined as required by law and are set forth in the bid proposal. When Federal wage rates are applicable and included, this contract is subject to the "Work Hours Act of 1962," (P.L. 87-581; 76 Stat. 357) and implementing regulations. The contractor must pay the higher of State vs. Federal wage rates. 

City Website Design and Implementation

The City of Grain Valley (“City”) is hereby accepting Requests for Proposals (RFP) from qualified consultants experienced with municipal organizations to update its website. The chosen firm will develop a website that is modern, easy to navigate and easily allows staff to manage content as necessary. The website should be informative for current and prospective residents and businesses and reflect the culture of the City of Grain Valley.

Grain Valley Pool Management Services

Department: Parks and Recreation
Deadline: August 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.

Qualified pool management companies (herein noted as “Contractors”) are invited to submit sealed bids to provide pool management services for three (3) years beginning with the 2021 season and ending at the conclusion of the 2023 season, at the Grain Valley Aquatic Center in accordance with the specifications contained herein.

The Grain Valley Parks and Recreation Department has established special and specific qualifications for the bidders to assure high quality within the program. The Pool Management Contractor who operates the Aquatic Center shall possess municipal swimming pool skills and experience to perform quality work, as solely determined by the City of Grain Valley, which qualifies it to operate the Aquatic Center as detailed and specified.

Building Maintenance

The City of Grain Valley (“City”) is hereby accepting Requests for Proposals (RFP) from qualified and experienced contractors with proven experience in building maintenance and repairs at various city facilities.

The building maintenance activities encompass with all rules and regulations of OSHA, International Building Code, International Existing Building Code, International Fire Code, National Electric Code and City minimum standards.

HVAC Preventative Maintenance/Services

Deadline: April 29, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.

The City of Grain Valley (“City”) is hereby accepting Requests for Proposals (RFP) from qualified, licensed contractors who specialize in heating and cooling services, to furnish all professional services, equipment, labor and materials necessary to provide preventative maintenance services and some or all repairs for all city buildings.

Electrical Service

The City of Grain Valley (“City”) is hereby accepting Requests for Proposals (RFP) from qualified and experienced licensed electrical contractors with proven experience in electrical installations and repairs at various city facilities.

The electrical service activities encompass with all rules and regulations of OSHA, International Building Code, International Existing Building Code, International Fire Code, National Electric Code and City minimum standards.

Dillingham Road Waterline and Trail Project

Employee Handbook Review & Update

Department: Administration
Deadline: February 28, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.

The City of Grain Valley (“City”) is hereby accepting Requests for Proposals (RFP) from qualified consultants or Human Resources professionals experienced with municipal organizations to complete a comprehensive review and make recommendations to update the City’s Employee Handbook.

As a part of this RFP, it is expected that existing personnel policies may be simplified, de-conflicted, updated, and rendered best practice. It is also expected that, in a separate cost proposal, training to all supervisors on interpreting and implementing the updated personnel policies will be included in order to ensure there is a shared understanding and consistency throughout the organization.
