Winter Weather Preparedness Update
Winter Weather Preparedness Update
The City has begun winter weather preparations and will continue monitoring conditions closely. This page provides important information about road operations, public safety services, and community resources available during winter weather.
Road and Snow Operations
City crews are actively preparing for winter weather and will respond as conditions develop.
-
January 22, 2026: City crews began winter weather preparations by readying snow trucks and equipment.
-
January 23, 2026: Public Works began pre-treating roadways.
-
January 24, 2026, at midnight: The first snow shift will report for duty to begin clearing roads as needed and monitoring precipitation.
Two rotating snow shifts will work 12-hour shifts and will continue rotating until streets are cleared.
Keeping Streets Clear for Snowplows
Residents are asked to remove vehicles from city streets whenever possible. This allows snowplows to safely and efficiently clear roadways.
Crews will respond to all roads within city limits, beginning with emergency snow routes, followed by second-priority streets and additional routes as conditions allow.
