The City of Grain Valley is pleased to have the voters support in the passage of the bond proposal for the Grain Valley Police Station.

According to the Jackson County Election Board, unofficial results show that 68.82% of residents desire the City to move forward with the project.

“For many years, officers have been working in cramped conditions and making the best of the space they have available. The new building will modernize how our officers are able to perform their jobs while giving them adequate space to work in. This will be a pivotal moment in bringing our department up to speed with other departments in the area”-Ken Murphy, City Administrator

Before the election, the City had completed enough of the design work to provide voters with cost estimates and project scope. It is expected to take the rest of the year to complete the design process and anticipated that the building will be complete and ready to be occupied in 2024.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to come and vote. It takes all of us to make Grain Valley the great place we know and love.
