The Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) is designed to outline plans for large scale capital improvements and major purchases by the City of Grain Valley. It is a flexible plan that can be altered as conditions, funding, priorities and regulations change. The CIP is a document used to inform citizens, residents and property owners of how the City plans to address significant needs from equipment to infrastructure. The CIP includes a description for each project outlined as well as why it is necessary and projected costs involved. Some of the projects included in the plans for 2022-2026 are:

  • Road improvement asphalt overlay program and other street improvements
  • Sewer main replacements
  • Water line extension
  • Park improvements including continuation of the trail master plan (trail improvements/additions) and new park equipment at Armstrong Park
  • Addition of a new water tower

Questions about the CIP can be directed to our Community Development Department, 816-847-6220 or info@cityofgrainvalley.org

The 2022-2026 Capital Improvements Plan can be found here.
