Alderman Ward I – Dale Arnold

Dale Arnold was elected to his first term as Ward 1 Alderman in 2007. In 2012, Dale returned to office after a one year absence. Prior to taking office Dale moved his family to Grain Valley in 1986. Dale is married to Shelia his wife for 35 years and they have two daughters Danielle and Katie. His daughters both attended Grain Valley Schools graduating from the new Grain Valley High School. Dale is a member of the Central Jackson County FPD serving for over 25 year and is currently a Captain Station in Grain Valley. Prior to coming to Grain Valley he served the Carrollton Fire Department for ten years. Dale has an Associate Degree in Applied Science relating to the fire service. Dale is also active in the community. He is a member of the former Grain Valley Optimist Club currently known as FOCUS and Past President. Both Shelia and Dale have been active with school programs as members of the Band Parents Association of which Dale is a Past President. Dale served on the Citizens advisory committee for the Grain Valley School District, as well has a member of the Planning and Zone Board for the City of Grain Valley. Dale helps wherever he can and has been involved with the Grain Valley Police Dept. Night Out Against Crime, the Haunted Hayride, the Grain Valley Fair Days, and the Historical Society. In his spare time Dale enjoys camping, gardening, and taking trips on his motorcycle. Dale is also active outside the City serving on a number of State Boards and Foundations.

Dale has been honored for his service to the community receiving the Pillar of the Communities in 2005 from the Grain Valley Chamber, and in 2010 he received the Citizen of the Year award from the Truman Heartland Foundation.
