Payment Options
Currently payment for water bills may be made by using Check, Cash,
Money Order or we now offer a new service that automatically withdraws
your bill from your checking or savings account. If you would like
to take advantage of this payment option, you need to print out the
Automatic Water Bill Payment Authorization Form.
Fill it out, attach a voided check and mail or bring it into our
office.
Establish Water Service
If you are moving within the city limits of
Grain Valley and need to establish new water service you have the
following options:

Complete the
Service Agreement online

Contact the Water Department
at 816-847-6200,or

Come into the Utility
Department located at City Hall, 711 Main Street.
The service agreement and deposit must be
received in our office before water service can be turned on.
Deposits for Water Service are as follows:
Transfer Water Service
Transfer existing water account to a new
address by

Customers should contact us at least one day
in advance of needing utilities transferred to a new address.
Discontinue Water Service
To discontinue your water service you will
need to either

Street.
We will need the following information:
Any water deposit we have on your account
will be applied to any outstanding balance at the time your final bill
is generated. Should the deposit be greater than what is owed on your
account a check will be mailed to you for the remaining balance.
Billing Information

Customers should receive bills
by the 5th of each month.

Bills are due upon receipt.

A 10% penalty is applied to
your account after the 15th of each month.

If an account is delinquent for 2
months, service will be disconnected. At that time, you will
be required to pay the past due balance and a reconnection fee.

After 2 years of good payment
history a Homeowner may request their water deposit back (request must
be in writing). All Renter water deposits are kept until service is
discontinued. At that time the deposit is applied to the final bill.
Should there be a balance left after the deposit is applied, a check
will be mailed to you.

A Senior Citizen discount is
available to those who are 65 years of age or older.
