The
City of Grain Valley is committed to providing its community with safe
drinking water and dependable service. The City purchases, and is
supplied, water from Independence and Tri-County Water Authority.
The
City’s sanitary sewer is treated in the nearby Blue Springs Treatment
Plant just northeast of Buckner-Tarsney and I-70, but collected through
city owned infrastructure.
City
streets are regularly maintained by City staff and/or City approved
contractors to keep safe and reliable travel a priority.
The
terrain in Grain Valley is such that storm water run-off can be, and is,
managed efficiently through thorough engineering and solid construction
practices. These practices include approved standards and guidance used
regionally and nationally.
