Armstrong Park: This 10 acre park is located in the heart of Grain Valley and has amenities for everyone. Four Shelter Houses with BBQ grills & picnic tables; Gazebo; Restrooms; Two Playground Areas; Swings; Skate Park; Two Lighted Baseball Fields; Asphalt Walking Trail. Shelter Reservations and Ball Field rentals may be obtained by calling 847-6230. Armstrong Park is conveniently located on Main Street, just south of I-70.

 

Cross Creek Nature Park: Cross Creek Park is a 36 acre work in progress. There are open green areas, an informal four (4) hole golf range, and a one mile walking trail along the Blue Branch Creek. This site is perfect for flying kites, playing catch, or taking a walk.

 

Monkey Mountain Sports Complex -   The Sports Complex will feature four lighted ball fields, two soccer fields, shelter and picnic areas, playground, and horse trail access.  Construction is underway.

 

Neighborhood Pocket Parks: We have three small park areas located at Willow & Broadway Streets, R D Mize & Barr Road, and Brome & Clover Streets. These areas have play equipment, picnic tables, and BBQ grills.

 

Tennis Courts: There are four (4) lighted tennis courts located in front of Grain Valley High School, on Eagles Way. These were built in year 2000 by a cooperative venture between the City of Grain Valley and the Grain Valley School District. The tennis courts are open to the public anytime except for practices & matches during the high school tennis season in the Fall.

 

Outdoor Aquatics Center: The Grain Valley Aquatics Center opened in May of 2002. This marked the first time the city housed a municipal swimming facility. The Pool has zero-depth entry, sprinklers, water slides, diving board, and concession stand. Swim Lessons, Water Aerobics Classes, and Pool Party rentals are available.
