The Grain Valley Board of Aldermen is the policy-making body of the City. Elected officials are responsible for developing a budget for the City and adopting legislation that has the force of law within the City limits.

All Grain Valley elected officials serve two-year terms. The elected body is composed of a Mayor and six board members. The City is composed of three wards, represented by two board members each.

Board of Aldermen meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month in the Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 711 Main Street.
