Question: How do I pay a ticket?
Answer: Tickets can be paid
in person or submitted by mail to Grain Valley Municipal Court, 711 S.
Main, Grain Valley, MO 64029.
Question: Can I use a credit card
to pay my ticket?
Answer: At this time we do
not accept credit cards. You can pay by check, money order or cash.
Question: Where is court located?
Answer: The Grain Valley
Municipal Court is located in the Grain Valley City Hall, 711 S. Main, 1 block South off of I-70 at Exit

Question: How do I request a continuance?
Answer: Continuances may be requested by telephone
(816/847-6240),
but must be made at least one day prior to the court date.
Question: What options do I have if I don’t agree with the charges?
Answer: You should plead Not Guilty and appear in Court.
Question: What is the difference between a fine and a
court cost?
Answer: Fines are set by the judge within limits
established by state statute. Court costs are set state statute and
city ordinance.
Question: How are fines and court costs established?
Answer: The Violations Bureau is established by
order of the Municipal Judge and the judge controls which cases may be
paid without appearance in court and how much may be paid in order to
avoid that court appearance. These fines are from $0 to $500.00 as set
by state statute.
